The 2023 VDM 2YO Fillies drew 18 entries with 9 in each division. The eliminations saw Pussycat Doll with Gordon Gilvear a winner in 2:03 as did Always B Layla and Vicki Gill in 2:03. The eventual winner was Chasingthestars who finished 2nd to Always B Layla. In the £28,000 Final Chasingthestars with Grant Cullen went right to the top from post 5 and was never headed. Always B Layla got a second over trip with cover to finish 2nd while Meldoons Star with William Greenhorn closed to be third.
